Practice

“How do I get to Carnegie Hall?”

Practice, practice, practice.”

“You can practice the mechanics  of the holy instant, & will learn much from doing so.”

There is a way of living in this world that is not here, & the Holy Spirit will fill every mind that makes space for Him.  Don’t take my word for it, though.  Practice & find out for yourself.

Separate this one second and experience it as timeless.”

Muscle Memory

I went through a phase one summer where I enjoyed skydiving.

Above all else, I want to see

On Jump 10, I pulled my ripcord, & …nothing happened.

Obviously, I survived free-falling 120mph at 5K feet seemingly without a parachute.

What saved me was practicing, while safely on the ground, how to overcome life-threatening scenarios that may occur in the sky.  When my parachute didn’t open, muscle memory kicked in & I miraculously knew what to do at this instant…& then the next. Like a reflex. Each second at a time.

And so it is with practicing the application of The Course.

We are rehearsing to automatically reflect love even in fearful situations that seem to threaten us.

You do not need to practice what you already understand.”

When we pull the ripcord of forgiveness, we are free to soar above the battleground.

Practice, Practice, Practiceimage_symphony2

Strengthen miraculous muscle memory:

“…you need not believe the ideas, you need not accept them, and you need not even welcome them. Some of them you may actively resist. None of this will matter, or decrease their efficacy. But do not allow yourself to make exceptions…”
