Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time.
The Introduction affirms that we have free will. We may have forgotten our original decision to leave Home, but we did choose to separate by our own self-determination. And we can also exercise our free will to change our minds & choose again — to return Home, and be Self-Determined.
“If a patient decides against recovery, he will not be healed.”
We can only learn The Course if we freely choose so. Nobody can be forced to learn peace of mind against their will. We each decide for ourselves, & our thoughts — and eventually our actions — reflect our decision.
“…you will not see if you regard yourself as being coerced…”
God cannot change our minds. We must choose to change our minds with Him. Our thoughts are our responsibility.
