The name of Jesus is the name of one who was a man but saw the face of Christ in all his brothers and remembered God. So he became identified with Christ, a man no longer, but at one with God. The man was an illusion… Jesus remains a savior because He saw the false without accepting it as true. And Christ needed his form that He might appear to men and save them from their own illusion. In his complete identification with Christ – Jesus became what all of you must be. He leads you back to God because he saw the road before him, and followed it. He made a clear distinction, still obscure to you, between the false and the true. He offered you a final demonstration that it is impossible to kill God’s Son. All your sins have been forgiven because they carried no effects at all. Arise with him who showed you this because you owe him this who shared your dreams that they might be dispelled. He will remain with you to lead you from the hell you made to God. Walking with him is just as natural as walking with a brother whom you knew since you were born, for such indeed he is. Forgive him your illusions… there is no death because the Son of God is like His Father. (C 5)
Jesus is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Whom he [Jesus] called down upon the earth after he ascended into Heaven… it was now possible to accept Him [the Holy Spirit] and to hear His Voice. It is the
Voice for God. Jesus…was the first to complete his part perfectly. The Holy Spirit is described as the remaining Communication Link between God and His separated sons. He knows because He is part of God: perceiving because He was sent to save humanity. He is…the bringer of true perception. He is the light in which the forgiven world is perceived. The Holy Spirit abides in the part of your mind that is part of the Christ Mind. But joined with you he is the shining Savior of the world. (C 6)
Who transcends the body has transcended limitation. Would the greatest teacher be unavailable to those who follow him? The name of Jesus Christ as such is but a symbol. It stands for love that is not of this world. It becomes the shining symbol for the Word of God, so close to what it stands for that the little space between the two is lost, the moment that the name is called to mind. No one on earth can grasp what Heaven is, or what its one Creator really means. Yet we have witnesses. It is to them that wisdom should appeal. Jesus has come to answer your questions. In him you find God’s Answer. (M-23)
Jesus & the Holy Spirit – Ken Wapnick, PhD.
Jesus– the source of the Course, its first person or ” I”; the one who first completed his part in the Atonement, enabling him to be in charge of the whole plan. Transcending his ego, Jesus has become identified with Christ and can now serve as our model for learning and an ever-present help when we call upon him in our desire to forgive.
Holy Spirit– God’s Answer to the separation; the Communication Link between God and His separated Sons, bridging the gap between the Mind of Christ and our split mind; the memory of God we took with us into our dream; the One Who sees our illusions (perception), leading us through them to the truth (knowledge); also referred to as Bridge, Comforter, Guide, Mediator, Teacher, and Translator.
Looking with the Holy Spirit’s or Jesus’ nonjudgmental gentleness and patience at our ego thought system; since it is guilt that prevents us from looking at our specialness, thus sustaining the ego and keeping its true nature hidden, it is looking without judgment at our attack thoughts that undoes the ego: thus, looking at the ego without guilt and fear is the essence of the Atonement.
Jesus & the Holy Spirit – Marianne Williamson A Return to Love
You and I have the Christ-mind in us as much as Jesus does. Jesus lived within this world of fear, and perceived only love. He reached total actualization of the Christ mind, and was then given by God the power to help the rest of us reach that plane. “Jesus saves” means “love heals the mind.” Jesus sees only as God sees. There is a difference between a way shower and a crutch. Jesus is not a crutch; he is a teacher. The Holy Spirit is a force of consciousness within us that “delivers us from Hell,” or fear whenever we consciously ask him to. The Holy Spirit guides us to a different perception of reality: one that is based on love. Every situation is an opportunity, perfectly planned by the Holy Spirit, to teach love instead of fear. The cornerstone of His teaching: God’s Son is innocent. You can ask the Holy Spirit to change your perceptions. He can’t take from us what we won’t release to Him.
